I am Levels 1 and 2 (out of 3) Gottman trained, meaning I have completed numerous hours from trainings as well as outside research, reading and application in order to support couples from various backgrounds better manage conflict, strengthen their connection, increase intimacy and collaborate on creating a shared life they want.
I approach each and every client with openness and unconditional care. You know yourself better than anyone, and I see myself as a witness to your story, meeting you wherever you are at on your journey. I consider it an honor to connect with you.
All parts of you are welcome and worthy. IFS explores the various parts that make up who we are. The main idea is that each part serves a purpose within us and is worthy of the space to be acknowledged. Oftentimes, parts are working hard to protect us, which can be expressed in a variety of ways. This approach has shown to be highly effective while working with trauma, anxiety and depression.
Having completed several Gottman Method trainings including treating couples in recovery and affairs and trauma, I bring an informed, evidence-based and structured approach. I have been described as open, calm and approachable while working with clients. I have an eye for finding strengths in clients, which I highlight as often as possible. Sometimes we can overlook the seemingly small things that make a big difference in how we connect. I look forward to discovering those strengths with you.
My clients often report they have been expending more energy than they bring in. They feel drained, cynical, and discouraged that their efforts are not manifesting in the goals they desire. Their attitude, relationships, and health suffer. They feel their time is spent in a job that no longer serves them. From my experience pivoting careers and extensive evidence -based research supporting my approach, I work to support individuals experiencing burnout, career shifts or going back to school.
Each chapter of our lives offers experiences worth celebrating as well as challenges sometimes in need of support. I have worked with clients from various backgrounds and ages encountering a range of life transitions including graduating from school and entering the work force, expanding or blending families, recovery form addiction, becoming parents or empty nesters, supporting children with a new diagnosis and grieving a loved one. Any and all of these can be scary, but you are not alone.
