About My Clients
I work with adults who are carrying shame, questioning themselves, or wondering if something is "wrong" with them. Many are healing from sexual trauma, exploring sexuality or identity, navigating kink or non-monogamy, or struggling with intimacy, desire, or painful sex. You don't have to convince me that you make sense. I want to help you understand yourself—what you need, what patterns keep showing up, and what a life and relationships that genuinely fit you might look like.
My Background and Approach
I earned my master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from St. John Fisher University and completed my clinical internship at the Rochester Center for Sexual Wellness, where I now work as a therapist. I also bring four years of experience supporting survivors of sexual violence as a rape crisis counselor with RESTORE Sexual Assault Services. My graduate training and ongoing education have focused heavily on sexuality, relationships, and trauma. I approach therapy with curiosity rather than judgment. People make sense in the context of their lives, and I want to help you figure out how you make sense. I bring knowledge and experience into the room, but I'm not the expert on who you should be. You are. We'll get curious together about your experiences, patterns, relationships, and needs and use what we learn to help you find what works for you. You won't be pushed to talk about anything before you're ready, and there isn't one "right" way you need to be.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe sexuality is a meaningful part of being human and that consensual sexual and relationship diversity is not something that needs to be "fixed." I strive to offer a space that is sex-positive, kink-affirming, LGBTQ+ affirming, and welcoming of consensual or ethical non-monogamy. I also believe that shame rarely helps people grow. Curiosity, compassion, autonomy, and genuine understanding tend to take us much further. My role isn't to tell you who you should be, what your relationships should look like, or what choices you should make. It's to help you understand yourself more fully and make choices that align with your own values. I want to bring my knowledge alongside your lived experience, get curious with you about what fits and what doesn't, and help you discover what feels authentic and sustainable for you. I value consent, autonomy, authenticity, and the freedom to build relationships and a life that genuinely fit you.
