About My Clients
I work best with teens and adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, or relationship struggles. My ideal clients are ready to explore their emotional world and create change, even if they’re not sure where to start. I specialize in supporting college students, survivors of abuse, individuals needing cultural affirmation, and those feeling stuck or overwhelmed by life. My approach is collaborative, affirming, and focused on healing and growth.
My Background and Approach
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and certifications in trauma-informed care. I bring years of experience working with teens, adults, and college students facing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges. My approach is warm, collaborative, and rooted in evidence-based practices like CBT, mindfulness, and person-centered therapy. I specialize in working with survivors of abuse, BIPOC and LGBTQ+ clients, and individuals navigating identity, grief, and self-worth issues. Therapy with me is a safe, judgment-free space to unpack what’s heavy, develop healthier coping tools, and build the life you want. Clients benefit from a therapist who truly listens, gently challenges when needed, and stays focused on their goals, growth, and healing journey. I believe in your capacity to thrive—and I’m here to help you get there.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing is sacred work—an unfolding, a remembering, a homecoming to self. We all carry stories etched by love, loss, survival, and strength. As a Black woman and trauma survivor, I know what it means to rise with a heavy heart and still choose softness. I believe in spaces where you don’t have to explain your pain to be held in it. I value truth, equity, and the quiet courage it takes to ask for help. I stand with those whose voices have been silenced and identities erased—supporting racial justice, LGBTQ+ rights, and the right to exist fully, freely, and safely. In our work, I offer presence, not perfection; compassion, not correction. Therapy with me is a space to lay it all down—to untangle the hard parts, to name what was never named, and to begin again. You are not broken. You are becoming. And you don’t have to do it alone. Here, you’ll find your anchor. And in time, a sense of tranquility—steady, soft, and entirely your own.
