About My Clients
If you're reading this, you may be feeling overwhelmed. Perhaps a recent conflict has left you feeling shattered, or maybe life generally has become unmanageable. Are you exhausted by the symptoms of trauma, anxiety or depression? Maybe you are experiencing sudden panic attacks for the first time. Maybe some of these thoughts ring true, “I’m not being heard,” or “I’m not important," or “I’m too much for people.” If so, I can help.
My Background and Approach
After working with me, clients often say they feel safer in their relationships—especially the one they have with themselves. The goal is to quiet the harsh inner critic, replace it with self-compassion, and lift the heavy weight you’ve been carrying. Together, we will help you reconnect to the activities, people, and feelings that light you up. I specialize in working with individuals navigating specific, often unseen, forms of grief and trauma. My areas of focus include: Adult Children of Alcoholics (ACOAs) processing the complex trauma of growing up in an alcoholic home. Clients managing the physical and emotional complexities of a chronic illness and those deconstructing their faith and/or healing from religious trauma. As a trauma-informed therapist, I use a combination of powerful, evidence-based therapy models to help you heal. My primary approaches are Internal Family Systems (IFS) and systemic therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the inherent worth of all humans and that they deserve to be respected. As a trauma informed therapist, I believe that before we can process trauma and heal, first safety and agency from be established. So I strive to make sure that all clients, no matter intersecting identities, feel safe in the therapy space with me, and that agency is prioritized first and foremost. I also believe my dog is the cutest pup on the planet, but am happy to compare notes.
