About My Clients
You are struggling with repeating the same old patterns in every new relationship. You often wonder why it is so hard to ask for what you need and desire. You feel stuck, lost, and disconnected from life and the people around you. Reaching out and asking for help through counseling is a courageous first step in discovering who you are and how you want to live your life. I work with women, men, and teens on identity, sexuality, body image, and relationship challenges.
My Background and Approach
In our work together, we’ll uncover patterns that no longer serve you and help you build new skills for healthier boundaries, more fulfilling connections, and greater self-worth. My background as a sex educator for 20 years gives me a unique ability to support women in areas like intimacy, sexual identity and orientation, communication, and discovering authentic desires. In addition to individual counseling, I also facilitate group therapy, where you’ll find encouragement, belonging, and healing alongside others who share similar struggles and goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Treatment involves clarifying goals, exploring patterns, and considering system-based influences. Clients often leave with greater self-awareness, confidence, reduced shame, and stronger capacity for authentic, fulfilling connections. I use Narrative and Adlerian therapies with a focus on systems and mindfulness. In our first session, we'll explore what brought you here and identify ways to support your next steps. Together, we'll examine systemic influences—family, society, culture, relationships—and reframe your story to break harmful patterns, foster empowerment, and support meaningful change.
