About My Clients
My adult clients are some of the most incredible people I have the privilege of knowing. I work with people across the LGBTQIA2S+ spectrum, and women, all of whom come from a variety of ethnicities and backgrounds. Clients journey with me to heal their trauma (not just cope), reduce shame, increase courage, improve relationships, and to find a life worth living with more happiness and fulfillment. My clients are motivated, brave and hold a variety of innate strengths that help them change.
My Background and Approach
As a natural born artist with a passion for advocacy and helping the underdog, I followed the call to use those skills to help others in counseling. In 2016 I received my M.A. in Art Therapy and Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from Naropa University, my bachelors degree was in Photography, and prior to this my associates degree was in Fine Art. My therapeutic career started before grad school when I worked as a milieu counselor at an incredible residential treatment center for youth in Chicago. Since then, I've worked with women and queer people navigating through immense hardships such as incarceration, sex work, HIV/AIDS, transitions, family problems, domestic violence, sexual trauma, and other life altering forms of adversity. I have completed many trauma trainings trauma over the years that have informed my person centered approach to working with complexity, relationships, and the hard stuff we encounter in humanity, while increasing trust, curiosity, courage, and resiliency.
