About My Clients

Being here means that you’re on the quest to creating a stronger, healthier, & happier version of yourself. If you’re struggling with feeling stuck, insecure, off-centered, know there is an alternative that is possible- one where you’re able to understand & overcome old patterns that have kept you stagnant. There is the possibility for a new you, one in which you are grounded, connected, & inspired. Our work together will help you gain a better understanding of who you are & what matters to you.

My Background and Approach

I have been practicing for over 10 years and specialize in issues pertaining to womanhood, relationships, & trauma. In addition to private practice, I have worked as a Clinical Supervisor and Therapist in community mental health agencies. My experience as a community mental health worker has helped shape my beliefs & values as a clinician in private practice. It helped me understand the needs of People of Color through the various lenses of systemic oppression. I work from a client-centered approach, always keeping in mind that the client is the expert of their life. I also view therapy as a collaborative effort between us. It is a partnership we enter. You, the client, bring the knowledge and expertise about your lived experiences. I, the therapist, bring my clinical knowledge and human touch. Additionally, I hope to provide you with a holding space that feels safe & secure. Together we work toward a similar end goal in mind, one where you see the change you want to see in yourself.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

As a Woman of Color, I am committed to working with other women who have been marginalized and oppressed. My mission is to help women feel more liberated and empowered to be the best version of themselves. As a mental health professional, I commit to and practice from a place that honors my client’s cultural strengths. The needs of Women of Color are centered in my work and culturally affirming care is the norm. I seek to celebrate all of my client’s identities and together we work to destigmatize mental health care one woman at a time.
