About My Clients
I understand that you might face time constraints, discomfort with sharing personal issues with a stranger, and you may find it difficult to describe what is troubling you. If any of this sounds familiar, allow me to help you take action toward tackling the problem. Step forward with confidence, I offer appointments in the evenings and weekends for support when you need it.
My Background and Approach
I support military members and their families who walk the journey alongside them, providing care for active duty service members and veterans while addressing the unique challenges that come with both service and life after. My approach to psychotherapy includes evidenced-based intervention and essential techniques to provide effective support. I've worked in various settings including non-profit, juvenile justice facilities, and in the private sector. I've trained professionals, officers, and community members on the intersection between mental health and the justice system to define mental health and identify mental health needs.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I'm committed to improve the lives of individuals, children, active or retired veterans as well as their families to overcome challenges and build better lives. Together, you'll navigate past experiences and uncover hidden patterns and perceptions that may impede your progress. I believe healing is possible-even in the shadow of trauma and that the path to recovery begins when individuals feel truly seen, safe, and supported. This belief sits at the heart of my work with families, and youth affected by the weight of their world. Trauma does not discriminate. It seeps into the lives of individuals and it echos in the hearts of their loved ones. Trauma lives in silence, in shame, in the unspoken culture of "just deal with it." I reject the idea that anyone must suffer in silence. I believe that vulnerability, when met with safety and skill, is not a weakness-it's where healing starts.
