My Background and Approach
As a trauma therapist, I’ve worked in both addiction treatment and community mental health settings. These experiences have given me the privilege of supporting people coping with PTSD, trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship difficulties, and the effects of generational and cultural stressors. My work is grounded in a client-centered, trauma-informed approach. I integrate EMDR, Brainspotting, Internal Family Systems (IFS), TF-CBT, and Solution-Focused Therapy to create a treatment plan that fits your individual needs. I believe healing is not one-size-fits-all, and I aim to provide a space where you feel safe, respected, and understood as we work together toward meaningful change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As the child of Salvadoran immigrants, I understand how generational experiences, cultural values, and family dynamics can shape our identities and relationships. I believe mental health is just as important as physical health, and that healing happens when both are given the attention they deserve. I view the therapeutic relationship as the foundation of meaningful change. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and supported enough to be vulnerable, honest, and authentic. It is a privilege to work with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, identities, and life experiences, and I strive to approach each person with curiosity, compassion, and acceptance.
