About My Clients
My clients are looking for a therapist who isn't afraid to be honest with them. My clients aren't afraid of using humor or story telling and are looking to befriend and acknowledge parts of themselves where they have carried shame, grief or trauma. My clients are looking for a therapist who allows themself to be seen as a human being and is nonjudgmental, compassionate and authentic.
My Background and Approach
As a trauma survivor myself I bring to the table personal and professional experience when working with people. I meet people where they are to support them in the areas of their life where they may be struggling or seeking to heal and grow. I have previous experience in coaching, massage therapy and social work prior to becoming a marriage and family therapist.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that all people are deserving of compassionate support. Some seasons of our lives are harder than others and some of us are impacted by numerous traumas and life tragedies that have impact on all areas of our lives. I am an advocate for mental health and hold myself accountable to working on myself as well. As a survivor of childhood trauma as well as a survivor of child-loss I know what a difference compassionate professional support can have. I believe in inclusivity and consider myself an ally of the LGBTQ community and Black Lives Matter Movement.
