About My Clients
My ideal client is anyone ready to come as they are, no judgment, and no need to have it all figured out. Whether you’re new to therapy or no stranger to the process, my ideal client desires honesty, meaningful conversation, deep reflection, and genuine connection. I welcome individuals from all backgrounds who may be struggling, seeking growth, or simply longing to feel truly heard, understood, and supported.
My Background and Approach
I bring more than a decade of experience in behavioral health across inpatient, outpatient, and substance use treatment settings. I also have 14 years of personal recovery, allowing me to combine lived experience with professional training, clinical knowledge, and genuine compassion. My areas of strength include addiction, ADHD, neurodivergence, anxiety, OCD, trauma, anger, impulsivity, depression, self-esteem, couples work, and relationship challenges. My approach is warm, direct, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change begins when you feel safe enough to be honest. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed care while tailoring treatment to your individual needs. Sessions may include deep discussion, honest reflection, practical coping tools, and supportive challenges designed to help you understand patterns, build resilience, and create lasting change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe every person deserves to be met with compassion, dignity, and respect. My role is not to judge or define you by what you have experienced, but to create a safe space where you can show up honestly and feel understood. I strongly believe that people are more than their struggles, diagnoses, or past choices, and that everyone is capable of growth, healing, and meaningful change. I value authenticity, curiosity, accountability, and hope while honoring each person’s unique identity and background. My social work passions include men’s mental health, challenging the stigma surrounding substance use, and advocating for criminal justice reform. These values shape my commitment to seeing the whole person, recognizing their humanity, and helping them create a life that feels authentic and fulfilling.
