About My Clients
When anxiety interferes with your functioning it can feel frustrating, overwhelming, exhausting, or defeating. It can be a barrier to doing the things you want and feeling like yourself. I support people with a range of issues under the anxiety umbrella. Planning and hoping for a child, pregnancy, postpartum, and parenting all come with emotional and physical challenges. You deserve to feel heard and supported throughout this process. I welcome clients among any stage of the peripartum journey.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Massachusetts and am currently pursuing Certification in Perinatal Mental Health by Postpartum Support International. My post-masters training is rooted in trauma-informed care, complex family systems, and perinatal mental health. My early work in family and youth therapy provided me a lens into the complex role parents and caregivers play through all stages. Whatever my role, I have always found it valuable to help people understand how to feel empowered over their anxiety. My practice offers a multi-dimensional approach that is rooted in Person-Centered Therapy, which emphasizes the importance of the client's strengths and self-perceptions. I also integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) skills and Interpersonal Effectiveness skills to support with coping, communication, and boundary-setting. We will work together to find the best personalized approach for your needs.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that my relationship with my clients is a core necessity in counseling that provides a space for vulnerability, strength, growth, and authenticity.
