About My Clients
People that seek out therapy with me may struggle with making decisions and repeating patterns of behavior that don't serve them. They may worry about relationships or find themselves in relationships that create anxiety. They are committed to exploring identity, childhood wounds, unwanted narratives that were imposed on them as well as relationship dynamics in their lives. They want to unravel and dismantle old narratives that don't suit them and cultivate a new story for themselves.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed clinical social worker who believes in the infinite capacity of humans to move through and beyond experiences that have brought us down. I’ve served and partnered with children, families, parents and adolescents in my time as a school social worker. These experiences are meaningful to me as a practitioner who believes in the “village” mentality. I acknowledge and work to harness the great power of relationship, validation and being truly seen. Identity exploration and affirmation is foundational to our work. I make continuous commitments to learning about the expansiveness and complexity of identity with you. I approach therapy with the lens that our challenges were not created in a vacuum. Many of our mental health struggles are born from the difficulty of facing what society inflicts on us. With humility, formal training, humor and intuitive skills, I invite you to open these conversations in my presence so we may begin the work.
