My Background and Approach
Integrating systemic and experiential approaches, my therapeutic style emphasizes mindful awareness of the body, emotions, thoughts, and beliefs, as they influence mood, vitality for life, behavior, health, and relationships. I am a Certified Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapist, and this is the model that I most closely align with in my work. Despite it’s name, IFS is largely used with individuals. IFS is rooted in systems theory and multiplicity of mind. It’s basis suggests that each of us is made up of separate but interworking "parts" that optimally work together in harmony. In IFS therapy clients are guided to access a space within themselves where vital inner resources such as Curiosity, Calm, Compassion, and Clarity are abundant. Learning to relate to oneself from this place leads the way to remarkable breakthroughs and lasting transformations.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Change begins when you heal the burdens from the past that live within you. Reality starts to rearrange itself when you commit to recovering - from a trauma, an illness, or from fixed beliefs and behaviors that don't fit who you want to become. IFS provides a limitless pathway to tap into inner wisdom and transform both deep traumas and current challenges. Learning this model allows you to reclaim true gifts that have gone underground, trust life, live and create from a new level of your Self.
