About My Clients
My clients consist of couples who want to improve the satisfaction and intimacy in their marriage, as well as individuals who are seeking to reduce anxiety and stress. I have experience working with clients struggling with grief, life transitions and depression. My clients are highly motivated to change and want to work as a team to meet their goals.
My Background and Approach
My work with couples is focused on providing psychoeducation skills for improving communication, assessing conflict management to improve emotional intimacy, and to help align the couple as partners and as a team rather than opponents. I provide intimacy skills to increase the appreciation and acknowledgment you desire from your partner which in turn, allows you to feel loved and respected. In terms of anxiety, stress management, life transitions work and similar issues, I focus on identifying the barriers that are keeping you from your goal. I introduce the concepts of cognitive behavior therapy to shift the patterns of thinking that keep you down. I also utilize solutions focused therapy to ensure that your time is well spent. I also find that client centered therapy can be extensively healing for those who need to feel heard and listened to in a way that haven’t experienced before. The total acceptance of the client is therapeutic in itself.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
It is my strong belief that the only requirement for change and growth in a person is willingness. I have yet to meet a client that met this criteria that didn’t meet the goals they set out to accomplish. My goal is to provide a safe and non-judgmental environment where clients feel supported, listened to and understood. I truly care about my clients journey, and feel lucky to be a part of it.
