About My Clients
Do you feel exhausted rather than invigorated by your relationships? Do you feel like you get caught in the middle of other people's drama? Are you exhausted caring for others but feel that no one is caring for you? Do you struggle to say no? I'm here to help you find another way to get what you want, without all the anxiety, anger, and chaos. Psychodynamic interventions can help you understand what's really going on in your relationships, and give you the tools for lasting change.
My Background and Approach
If you've ever had that thought, "If I only knew then what I know now", then you've experienced the guiding principle of Psychodynamic practice or insight-driven therapy. We cannot change what we don't acknowledge. The more we understand the more we can make room for change, which is why improving insight (understanding + action) is foundational for change. I use psychodynamic strategies to help you understand the nature of your challenges and make room for new behaviors. Psychodynamic work takes time and involves a deep exploration of unconscious motivations, needs, and desires. We will explore the cycles in your current relationships, when these patterns first emerged, discuss your needs relationships, and how you've been trying to meet them--and whether it may be time for a new approach. By learning to identify underlying motivations you can uncover new strategies for change, and finally have the relationships you've been wanting.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that social change starts with the individual through compassionate, loving service. I support this mission and any other that leads with love and strives to bring people together.
