About My Clients
My clients have suffered a loss - maybe they're grieving a death, relationship, diagnosis, identity, or dream. Maybe they struggle under the emotional weight of grief, are overwhelmed with anticipation as they dread a loss that hasn’t happened yet, or feel like their loss is stigmatized or invisible. My clients want a safe place to openly grieve, concrete strategies to make it though each day, ways to feel connected, their feelings validated, a sense of meaning, or hope for the future.
My Background and Approach
My approach to grief therapy is rooted in deep expertise, shaped by the wisdom of brilliant teachers, the guidance of compassionate mentors, my own life experiences, and years of working as a social worker in bereavement, hospice, and chronic illness care. I earned my Bachelor of Science from Skidmore College in New York and my Master of Social Work from the University of Denver in Colorado. I have the highest level of social work licensure in MA and NY. As a clinical social worker and therapist, I have worked with many grievers navigate a myriad of losses and look forward to supporting you during this sacred process.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I recognize grief as a normal and natural response to loss of all kinds; I also see grief as an expression of love, be it for yourself or someone else. I believe in the dignity and worth of every person, importance of connection and relationships, and integrity. My greatest joy is witnessing cosmic alignment in my life and the lives of people I love. Connecting and feeling are at the core of how I navigate the world. I
