About My Clients
Hi! I know that it can be a daunting task to find a therapist and to decide to engage in therapy. I am so glad you are here and looking for support with whatever it may be that you are experiencing right now! I work with folks struggling with a range of issues, from depression and anxiety, to trauma and addiction. I have a specialized focus on issues related to trauma, addiction, issues related to recovery, and issues related to addition within their family or family growing up.
My Background and Approach
I take a person-centered, strength based approach to therapy that focuses on utilizing our therapeutic relationship to make the changes that you want to make. I aim to be fully present and to bring my warmth and humanity into the way that I show up in session. My theory of change is informed by my belief that building connection and relationship is a significant part of how therapy can support you in identifying, processing, and exploring what healing looks like for you and changing what you want to change. I have openings for individual therapy for adults. I specialize in treating trauma, issues related to substance abuse or other addictions, attachment issues, and religious trauma. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am so honored and humbled to be able to be a part of my client’s healing process. My way of being with clients is informed by goals to be fully present with my clients and to honor their humanity by showing up, authentically with genuine kindness and compassion. I have strong values for access to care for everyone. It is especially important to me to provide care that aims to be trauma informed, culturally responsive, and anti-racist. I belong to the LGBTQ community and strive to be an advocate for all marginalized communities and populations.
