About My Clients
People I work with are often overwhelmed with what is happening in their lives and feel they do not have the tools and/or the mental resources to get through these issues on their own. They may be dealing with anxiety or depression symptoms or both. People may also feel they are trying their best to be there for others, their work, or their education, and realize they are not showing up for themselves and their needs. I help people create boundaries in their lives and practice self-care.
My Background and Approach
I provide therapy and assessment services to adults who struggle with depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. These issues are quite painful and create a strong desire to find a way to escape from worry and feeling low. Sometimes people try to cope on their own by using alcohol, smoking, or other addictive behaviors. I'm here to say you don't have to do it all on your own and there are other ways to get through the rough patches. Although this road is challenging at times, I believe that growth and change happens when you step outside of your comfort zone and face what has been bothering you. My role is to assist in identifying old patterns of behavior that don't serve you well and helping you make new ones while learning more about yourself. I am a PSYPACT telehealth provider in over 40 states.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I'm dedicated to the realization of universal health care and living wages for everyone. I chose to expand how I deliver services to those who may be limited by geography, transportation, or other factors by offering video therapy (AKA teletherapy). As a member of the LGBTQIA community, I know what it is like to face stigma as a result of who I am, and my word to you is that I am here to offer a welcoming and affirming space for you and all of your identities.
