About My Clients
Maybe you’re successful in many areas of life, but something still feels stuck. You may struggle to communicate what you need, feel disconnected from your emotions, or find yourself repeating patterns in relationships despite understanding them intellectually. You’re looking for more than a place to talk, you want therapy that helps you understand what’s happening beneath the surface and create meaningful, lasting change.
My Background and Approach
My approach is grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment theory, and strengths-based therapy. Rather than viewing difficult thoughts, emotions, or behaviors as something that needs to be eliminated, we’ll work together to understand what they are trying to communicate and what has shaped them. I believe meaningful change happens when we can approach ourselves with curiosity rather than judgment and begin making choices that are more aligned with who we want to be.I also work as a therapist and adult advocate at a safe shelter for victims of domestic violence and human trafficking. I use the knowledge from my experience working with those populations to inform my strengths-based, person-in-context approach to every client. You're the expert in your life, and that’s the foundation of our work together. My sessions are warm, empathetic, and focused on honoring the strengths you already possess, while creating space for deeper growth and self-discovery.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I work with individuals and couples who want to develop greater emotional awareness, communicate more honestly, and build relationships that feel more connected and authentic. I particularly enjoy working with folks who are learning to expand their emotional range and move beyond patterns of shutting down, people-pleasing, avoidance, or difficulty expressing their needs. I also work with couples navigating disconnection, conflict, intimacy, sexuality, and the challenge of creating relationships that work for both people. Therapy can be a space to slow down, get honest about what isn't working, and develop a deeper relationship with yourself and the people you care about. I offer in-person therapy in Boulder, CO, as well as virtual therapy throughout Colorado. By gently cultivating mindful connections with your inner world, we can explore techniques to deepen your self-awareness, nurture your innate sense of self, and enhance your ability to fully communicate your needs and wants.
