About My Clients
Anxiety, shame, and relentless self-criticism can leave you feeling shut down or disconnected from the your life. You feel caught between parts of you that strive to hold it together and parts that are overwhelmed or not good enough. You’re ready for more than coping skills. You want meaningful, lasting change. Whether you’re navigating identity-based stress or long-standing patterns of self-doubt, you want therapy that honors your growth rather than treating you as broken.
My Background and Approach
Therapy with me is steady, collaborative, and attuned to what’s actually happening beneath the surface. My work integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS)- a structured, non-pathologizing model I’ve completed Level 1 training in through the IFS Institute- with mindfulness and self-compassion practices. Together, we explore protective patterns like perfectionism, overthinking, or avoidance, not as flaws but as parts that developed for good reasons. Slowing down can help to reduce overwhelm, soften self-criticism, and develop a more stable way of relating to yourself. Honesty, humor, and deep respect for lived experience guide our work.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Healing often begins when we question the stories we’ve been told about who we’re “supposed” to be. These stories may be shaped by shame, prejudice, or expectations that don’t reflect our truth. For many in the LGBTQ+ community, these messages run deep. How often do you treat yourself with judgment in ways you would never treat someone you love? Together, we'll explore where that inner critic came from and whether it still needs to hold on to those beliefs. Beneath anxiety and shame is a wise, steady voice. Therapy can help you reconnect with it. I’m passionate about LGBTQ+ advocacy and destigmatizing mental health care through an intersectional lens.
