About My Clients
I work with individuals of all backgrounds who desire to integrate their personal sense of Spirit into the healing process, along with evidence-based and trauma-informed psychotherapeutic techniques, for holistic healing. My clients tend to be imaginative, intuitive, and value a personal connection to the environment, Creation or the Universe. I am an exclusively telehealth/online video provider.
My Background and Approach
It is often some form of trauma that has interrupted the client’s life, manifesting destructive thought and relationship patterns, creating anxiety, a sense of unfulfillment, or loss of joy. I have worked with survivors of intimate partner violence, bullying and psychological abuse, abandonment, and clients who are wrestling with existential questions such as self-knowing, and intersecting identities such as cultures, race, gender and sexual orientation. I am an integrally trained therapist, meaning that I value the dynamic human relationship in therapy as the primary means of healing, and within that frame, draw from a variety of techniques based on the client’s need. Any techniques used are in service of helping the client re-connect with their own fundamental goodness, strength, sense of beauty, and every other good virtue.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the immutable power and goodness of the inner Self – that resilient essence at our core which some might describe as good, whole, or even as divine-natured. It’s what makes this work so cool – to witness the client “re-member”, even if seemingly for the first time, the wisdom, power and possibility that is innate to them. Being that we are in relationship, I too bring my gay identity, bi-cultural Native American identity, and my Indigenous worldviews to the work, to help me listen for systemic oppression affecting the client’s life, but also to help me expansively hold the client’s process of coming to know their own power through integration of their intersecting identities. When not working, I love recharging by jogging, eating lots of diverse foods, and being in the desert or near the seashore.
