About My Clients
I am an individual, group, and family therapist who is dedicated to helping others live meaningful lives. I am accepting adult clients of all ages and especially enjoy working with people in transition periods of their lives. I have experience supporting adults with ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, obsessive symptoms, mania, substance use, personality disorders, and relationship stress.
My Background and Approach
Raised by a social worker and a therapist, I bring natural compassion to my work. My approach is flexible and down to earth, focusing on people's strengths to bring out their best. I will always respect you as the expert in your life, and I can offer educated reflections to help you explore different aspects of what brings you fulfillment. I provide trauma-informed care, using methods such as nonviolent communication, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, solution-focused therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. This broad base allows me to follow your lead and offer tools and training tailored to your priorities.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My perspective is aligned with my social work education, placing individuals within their larger social environments. Mental health is connected to the social world and the opportunities and demands in life. I believe in social justice for the benefit of all, individually and collectively. My moral compass has led me to a career in helping others, and I believe that kindness is a combination of caring for oneself and working together.
