About My Clients
I support individuals, teens, and families facing emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges. Clients seek guidance for anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, and life transitions. In therapy, they find a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore feelings, build coping skills, and foster resilience, working toward personal growth and healthier relationships.
My Background and Approach
I’m Engela, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) from South Africa, with experience studying and working in London, UK, and Beijing, China, before opening my practice, Metavia Counseling, in Savannah, GA. I provide compassionate, evidence-based therapy for individuals, teens, and families facing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions. Using CBT and other proven approaches, I create a safe, collaborative space to explore emotions, build coping skills, and foster resilience and personal growth tailored to each client’s unique needs.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone—individuals, couples, children, and families—deserves support, understanding, and guidance when navigating life’s challenges. My mission is to provide a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their feelings, develop coping strategies, and work toward meaningful growth. I am dedicated to helping anyone in need build resilience, improve relationships, and achieve greater emotional well-being, regardless of their background or circumstances.
