About My Clients
I come from a community mental health background and I have primarily worked with adults and adolescents, with in-depth experience working with queer folks. I draw from a variety of frameworks with a deep grounding in modern psychodynamic and relational psychotherapies. I am sex, kink, polyamory, and LGBTQIA+ affirming.
My Background and Approach
My goal as a therapist is to provide the space for my clients to untangle, define, and understand themselves. Much of my work is focused around the intersections of identity, trauma, and mental health, and I am committed to exploring the ways that race, gender, and other social identities show up in the world and in the therapy room. I aim to help my clients explore the stories they have learned about themselves, and rewrite the narratives to reveal the truth and wholeness in each person.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the power of therapy as a space to connect and to name one's truths and desires aloud. I hope to be an empathic, nonjudgmental person for you to collaborate and grow with. I am excited to learn about the unique set of circumstances that have brought you to my (currently virtual) office!
