About My Clients
Emma Schmidt & Associates, Sex + Relationship Therapy restores relationships for individuals and couples who are facing a big challenge-maybe they're even at the end of their rope, struggling with their sex life. We understand that sex and relationship issues can be embarrassing and awkward, but we remove the shame and stigma from the situation and create an environment of openness and positivity. Our clients are seeking a stronger bond with their partners.
My Background and Approach
I went to sex therapy school because I believed there was a lack of professionals in the Cincinnati area who were focused on sexual health, especially in the mental health community. Based on my own relationship and what I was hearing among my friends, I knew there was a huge need. I wanted to create a space where people felt safe to open up about their sexual concerns and were able to understand their difficulties and challenges. I wanted people to know what resources were out there instead of feeling lost in their sufferings. I wanted to create a team of other professionals I could rely on to send clients to for best medical and clinical care. Together, with my team of sex therapists and partners such as sex medicine doctors and pelvic floor therapists, I'm able to adequately help a client and also provide them with excellent resources here in the Cincinnati area.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
At Emma Schmidt and Associates we have created a space that is inviting and inclusive. We make our sessions safe and non-judgmental so that clients can come just as they are, mess and all to be seen, heard and known. We are all messy. We believe you deserve the best care and we make it our mission to provide that.
