About My Clients
I specialize in working with monolingual and bilingual Spanish/English-speaking individuals, particularly those from Latino and BIPOC communities, who are navigating various life transitions and challenges. My ideal client is someone facing academic stress, cultural identity struggles, or the unique experience of being a first-generation student or child of immigrants grappling with cultural expectations and identity development. I also work closely with parents through pregnancy and postpartum.
My Background and Approach
I hold an Associate of Arts degree in Psychology from East Los Angeles College and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University Dominguez Hills, where I developed a passion for exploring the mind-body connection and its impact on emotional well-being. I earned my Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Southern California and completed my year-long practicum at Five Acres in their community-based specialty program, providing mental health services to young children, teens, and their families. I have experience working with diverse populations, including foster care, adoptions, and monolingual Spanish-speaking families. I’m dedicated to helping clients navigate their unique challenges with care, compassion, and cultural sensitivity.
