About My Clients

Maybe your relationship is struggling to survive the impact of old wounds. Maybe you do not know how to find relief from the pain of the past. I have a passion to work with couples & individuals who are struggling to navigate issues such as trauma, depression, anxiety, and marital distress. I often find that our closest relationships greatly impact how we see the world. This can be a secure view of ourselves and others around us; or we can become filled with pain and anxiety.

My Background and Approach

I earned my Masters of Science in Marital and Family Therapy from Lee University and am provisionally licensed in the state of Tennessee as a marriage and family therapist, working towards full licensure while under supervision. I have worked with a multitude of issues including, but not limited to infidelity, marital distress; complex trauma, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, crisis prevention and suicidal ideation. I utilize Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for those who are struggling with symptoms of traumatic life events. For couples, I have found that Emotionally Focused Therapy is the most beneficial approach to relational healing.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

On a personal note, I have strong roots here in East Tennessee, having been born and raised in Blount County. As a Tennessee native, naturally, I bleed orange for the Vols. My family includes myself, my husband, our daughter, and our two rescue dogs. We love to play games, kayak, and drive through the mountains.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
