About My Clients
Do your arguments keep repeating, no matter how calmly you try to talk? Does it feel like you’re speaking different languages, with one of you shutting down while the other can’t stop processing out loud? Maybe compulsions, rituals, or anxiety have started to run the relationship, or the everyday work of managing a household has turned into resentment. Underneath it all, you want to feel close again and don’t know how to get there.
My Background and Approach
I work with couples where one or both partners have ADHD, Autism, or OCD, and with couples whose relationship is shaped by trauma or addiction. I have advanced training in OCD, addiction, and trauma, plus years of experience with ADHD and Autism. My methods include Gottman Method couples therapy, ERP, EMDR, brainspotting, parts work, and somatic practices. Each couple’s plan looks different. We begin by mapping your patterns, as individuals and as a couple, and how your brains and histories interact. Next, we build skills for communicating in both the tense moments and the tender ones. Then we go deeper into understanding each other, creating systems that fit your brains, healing old wounds, and staying connected in everyday life. My office is sensory-friendly by design, with Teddy the therapy dog, fidgets, snacks, drinks, cozy blankets and pillows, and adjustable lighting and scents. Book a free 15-minute consultation to talk about what you’re hoping for.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe each of our minds works in beautiful and unique ways and that therapy is a space to understand and harness that power. Therapy should be a place for genuine, safe and expansive connection and I strive to cultivate that for my clients. Research shows that the biggest predictor of success in therapy is the therapeutic relationship, so please don't hesitate to reach out for a 15 min consult to make sure we're a good fit! I'm happy to connect you with other clinicians if not - my hope is to make sure everyone is able to access the mental health support that is right for them.
