About My Clients
My ideal clients are children, adolescents, and families navigating emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. I work especially well with ADHD, autism, anxiety, anger, school-related concerns, family stress, and life transitions. I also enjoy supporting veterans and military families. My approach is warm, practical, and tailored to each client’s unique needs, strengths, and goals.
My Background and Approach
I am a therapist with experience supporting children, adolescents, families, and adults facing emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. My background includes working with ADHD, autism, anxiety, anger, family stress, school-related concerns, and life transitions. I also bring lived experience as a retired military professional and as a parent navigating school systems, IEPs, and the unique needs of children with disabilities. This allows me to offer both clinical knowledge and real-world understanding. My approach is client-centered, practical, and tailored to each person’s strengths, goals, and stage of life. I use developmentally appropriate strategies, including play-based interventions when helpful, to make therapy engaging and effective. Clients often benefit from a space where they feel understood, supported, and equipped with tools they can use in everyday life. I am also pursuing a doctorate in behavioral health to continue deepening the care I provide.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people do best when they feel seen, respected, and supported, and that therapy should always be tailored to the individual. My values center on compassion, honesty, resilience, and creating a space where clients can show up as they are without fear of judgment. As a retired military professional, parent, and therapist, I bring both clinical knowledge and lived experience to my work. I care deeply about supporting children, families, veterans, and caregivers as they navigate stress, behavioral concerns, school challenges, disabilities, and life transitions. Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy gardening and motorcycle riding, both of which remind me of the importance of balance, growth, and taking time to reconnect with yourself. I am also pursuing a doctorate in behavioral health as part of my commitment to lifelong learning and quality care.
