About My Clients
I specialize in working with adolescents and young adults struggling with anxiety and mood issues. Many of my clients are college age or fresh out of college trying to figure out ' adulting.' I will help you process and understand the root cause of your suffering and then teach you the necessary skills to reach your goals. I view my job as helping clients become the best version of themselves so they are able to live a happy and fulfilling life.
My Background and Approach
I have worked in the mental health field for the past 7 years in various roles including a psychiatric adolescent inpatient unit at Cincinnati Children's Hospital, a school based therapist working with ages 6yr-18yr managing trauma, mood related issues, cognitive disabilities, autism spectrum, and in community mental health providing therapy for individuals experiencing anything from severe bipolar to schizophrenia. I am certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy ( DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Psychosis ( CBT-p), and very knowledgeable about trauma informed care.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am passionate about mental health and believe it is just as important as physical health. What good is it to have your ideal body if your inside is empty and shattered? To be truly well, the brain, heart, and body need to be functioning at its best.
