About My Clients
I work with people of all ages and specialize in children and adolescents. I have extensive experience working with children and adolescents including a background in teaching preschool, providing animal-assisted therapy to elementary school children, completing a practicum with children who have developmental disorders, and working in residential treatment with adolescents struggling with mental illness and substance abuse.
My Background and Approach
After graduating with a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2018 from Pepperdine University, I went on to pursue a Psy.D in Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. My goal as a therapist is to provide my clients with a safe, compassionate, and receptive space in which they can openly explore their challenges, successes, and life experiences in order to obtain their goals and flourish. I use an eclectic approach when providing therapy in order to personalize treatment according to each individual’s needs. My services are always supportive and non-judgmental. I believe that each of us has everything we need to heal inside of us and that with the proper support and tools you can go from surviving to thriving. I also have a therapy dog in-training, Saydy, who often joins sessions for those who desire, as having an animal present often helps support children and adolescents through the therapy process.
