About My Clients
You might feel trapped in cycles of depression, anxiety, impulsivity, shame, dissociation, or self doubt. Particularly for individuals navigating family estrangement or attachment trauma, connecting to your authentic sense of self can feel illusive. I provide a framework for people seeking to better understand themselves– whether healing past trauma, exploring LGBTQIA+ identity, navigating open relationships, or integrating a psychedelic experience.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in working with adults experiencing family estrangement, attachment trauma, or who suffer from feelings of imposter syndrome. I have expertise with adults navigating depression and anxiety, as well as those with often-stigmatized diagnoses like schizophrenia, BPD, and substance use disorders. I'll help you build confidence, release shame, and be genuine in your relationships and inner life. I also have expertise working with individuals struggling with schizophrenia and/or substance use– seeing you as transcending any diagnosis and supporting you in overcoming the stigma often found within this lived experience. My goal is a therapeutic relationship where your authenticity is honored, your inner-healing intelligence nurtured, and your capacity for transformation realized. Using an integrative mix of DBT, CBT, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and mindfulness, I help my clients build confidence, release guilt, and be genuine in their relationships and inner life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that awareness is the first step in healing. I aim to help you better understand yourself so that you can build a life you love. I believe that everyone possesses the ability to heal- just as a plant wants to grow toward the sun, there is an inner healing intelligence in each person that wants to move toward things that are life-affirming. I help my clients connect with this part of themselves and make progress toward their goals. While healing is always possible, that does not necessarily mean it is easy- change, even positive change, can feel uncomfortable and even painful at times, but I firmly believe that putting in the effort to grow in the short-term will result in long term benefit. I am there to help provide a framework for my clients to learn about and change the patterns and internal schemas that might not be serving them.
