About My Clients

My clients tend to feel lost, stuck, anxious, lonely, and/or are hard on themselves. I work with adult individuals and couples around themes such as identity exploration and meaning-making, finding purpose, childhood / family-of-origin wounds and traumas, relational challenges and conflict, career burnout & career change, and life transitions. I am especially passionate about grief and loss work, including helping you find meaningful ways to continue bonds after the death of a loved one.

My Background and Approach

My path to becoming a therapist was born out of my own transformative experience with therapy during a challenging season of life, and is grounded in the psychological growth I have experienced myself. I strive to offer clients guidance towards true connection with themselves and to foster trust in the inner wisdom we each have. I have a deep respect and curiosity for your unique experience navigating the world and am committed to meeting you where you are. My belief is that how we exist in the world is shaped by our present and past experiences, triumphs and sorrows, relationships, and the stories we tell ourselves about it all. I incorporate Attachment & Emotionally Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and eco-psychology and mindfulness techniques in my integrative approach, and I have been described as calm, warm, thoughtful, relatable, and having a compassionate nature. I deeply believe in the human capacity for growth, change, and healing.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am welcoming to people of all expressions and identities, and am committed to providing culturally-sensitive, affirming, and trauma-informed care. I invite you to show up exactly as you are and will support you in living as your most authentic self. I believe that every human experiences struggle throughout the journey of life, and every human has the right to feel respected, heard, and supported in their quest for healing. I enjoy referencing nature-based metaphors in my work as I believe we are inherently connected with the natural world around us, and often look at the shifting seasons and natural life cycles as parallels for the human experience. I have specific experience navigating addiction and recovery in couples relationships, and have served as both a leader and member within a community grief group of 21-45 year olds who have experienced a significant loss.
