About My Clients
My clients are often navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, low self-esteem, or feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. Many come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, disconnected from themselves, or unsure how to move forward. I work with adolescents and adults seeking greater self-understanding, resilience, and confidence. Together, we build practical coping skills, deepen self-trust, and create meaningful, lasting change that aligns with their values and goals.
My Background and Approach
I believe therapy should be a collaborative, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences, strengths, and challenges. I view each person as the expert in their own life and strive to create an affirming environment that honors each client's unique identity, culture, and lived experience. My goal is to help clients reconnect with their inner voice, develop self-trust, and build resilience in the face of life's difficulties. My approach is direct, supportive, and tailored to each individual's needs. Drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), narrative therapy, and expressive therapies, I integrate practical skill-building with deeper exploration of the patterns, relationships, and experiences that shape a person's life. Together, we work toward meaningful, sustainable change that aligns with your values and goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that healing and growth happen when people feel seen, respected, and empowered to define their own path. I believe every person deserves affirming, culturally responsive care that recognizes the ways identity, relationships, community, and social systems shape our experiences. Cultural humility is central to my work, and I strive to create a space where clients can explore their experiences with honesty and without judgment. Before pursuing clinical social work, I spent nearly a decade in nonprofit advocacy advancing criminal justice reform, reproductive health, immigration, and environmental justice initiatives. These experiences deepened my understanding of systemic barriers and the social factors that impact well-being. As a therapist, I integrate this perspective with evidence-based practices to help clients build self-trust, strengthen resilience, and create meaningful change aligned with their values and goals.
