Therapy with heart & humor—come as you are, leave with insight (and maybe a dad joke).

About My Clients

I work with children, teens, adults, couples and families who are facing life transitions, relationship stress, or just the “being a human is weird and hard” blues. Whether you’re a parent puzzling over your child’s big feelings, a teen untangling anxiety, or a couple navigating cultural differences, my office (and telehealth screen) is a place where all identities and stories are honored. If your life sometimes feels like an overstuffed closet of emotions, I’m here to help you find the floor.

My Background and Approach

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and a little playful. I believe therapy works best when it’s client-led and grounded in genuine connection—not a lecture from an “expert.” Together we explore the systems that shape you—family, relationships, culture—and how those forces impact your daily life. I listen deeply, ask curious questions, and offer gentle challenges (sometimes with a well-timed joke) to help you gain perspective, self-compassion, and practical tools for change. I draw from attachment, narrative, IFS, and emotion-focused models, weaving in CBT, mindfulness, and play therapy as needed. Whether we’re naming emotions, reframing old stories, or building new coping skills, our work is tailored to your unique strengths and goals. My aim is to create a space where every identity is honored, power dynamics are acknowledged, and you feel truly heard—so you don’t have to face life’s challenges alone.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe therapy is for everyone—no stigma, no shame. We all carry lessons from family, culture, and society that don’t always serve us, and I see therapy as a space to unlearn what hurts and practice new ways of living with more joy, less anxiety, and greater self-acceptance. I’m committed to social justice and to celebrating differences of race, culture, gender, sexuality, ability, and background; our uniqueness is what makes us belong. Outside the therapy room, I recharge by running and hiking with my dogs, bingeing a good thriller series or movie marathon, diving into a favorite podcast, getting lost in a great book, or catching a live concert. I’m a huge music lover—so bring on the playlists and song requests!
