About My Clients
Accepting new clients: Online sessions (across the state of OH) and in-person Dayton location (Mondays/Tuesdays/Fridays) and Columbus location (Wednesdays). The state of our relationships has a major impact on our general wellbeing. If you are struggling with a relationship issue, experiencing anxiety, loss, change, sadness, anger, trauma, sexual challenges, or any number of struggles, I am here to support.
My Background and Approach
I believe that therapy should include heart and humor when possible, and that every person has the ability to make changes in their life. I specialize in working with relationships - whether romantic or sexual, the relationship you have with your new or growing family, your family of origin, career, friends, or your relationship with yourself. I use a combination of therapeutic techniques to meet individual need, drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and EMDR most often. Using a trauma-informed lens, I work to keep client safety a priority.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I spent over a decade in Columbus after coming to the city in 2010 to pursue my Masters in Counselor Education at The Ohio State University. I relocated to my hometown of Dayton to raise my child alongside family. In addition to my love of spending time and working with people, I am passionate about music, food, yoga, design, and learning about and growing Ohio native plants in my garden. There are many harmful systems in place that work against the joy and wellbeing of many. I believe that through support of one another and direct opposition of systemic injustice, we can bolster each other and provide a safe place for existence and expansion.
