There are a lot of therapists who are poly or aware of open relationships, but very few have experience in the community and navigating the unique dynamics and challenges these relationships and identities present. If you are considering making the transition or are looking for a poly/ENM therapist who will truly understand the challenges you're facing, you've come to the right place!

Previous to becoming a therapist I was a case manager at a shelter for survivors of relational violence and sexual assault. I also was an advocate to survivors of sexual assault receiving their SANE exam in the hospital after their assault. Surviving these sorts of intimate types of violence can change our relationship to our body and ourselves. Rebuilding that connection can be difficult and there's no shame in needing some bonus support to access joy in all aspects of our lives.

I employ a person-centered approach to ensure that clients guide their own therapeutic journey. My practice is founded on the belief that individuals are the foremost experts on their own experiences. My role is to facilitate this self-discovery by supporting clients in reconnecting with their own autonomy, values, and goals.

In response to stress, anxiety, fear, anger, and other intense emotional reactions, it is common for individuals to tense our bodies. Over time, this tension can contribute to bodily pain, reduced range of motion, or create desensitization, which may negatively impact mental health by limiting engagement in physical activities or the enjoyment of previously fulfilling activities. By integrating emotional, conceptual, and physical aspects of the self, we can enhance overall well-being.
