About My Clients
I want you to feel freedom, gain awareness, and find meaning during our time together. As your counselor, I am always in your corner. My clients have learned new ways to cope with, process, and overcome a multitude of issues.
My Background and Approach
In addition to specialized training in EMDR, I offer DBT and IFS informed therapy. IFS is an evidence-based practice that is more focus on internal work than traditional talk therapy. Incorporating DBT techniques into one’s life often translates to increased self-concept, improved communication, healthier relationships, and a more meaningful existence. I have seen people from many different cultural backgrounds and those who have felt marginalized by society. As much as I have learned, I’m always teachable and open to learning more about your own experience.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Choosing a counselor that feels like a good fit can be intimidating. I believe that my job is to create a safe environment where you feel accepted, heard, and understood without conditions. I believe that open-mindedness and authenticity are most important. Spirituality, sexuality, and identity should not rigidly defined by the outside world, however this is an unfortunate but real influence and can still affect anyone.
