About My Clients
I support individuals and couples in witnessing and making sense of relational wounds and developing more connected relationships with themselves and others. As an Asian-American therapist, my clients appreciate my ability to integrate a culturally sensitive lens in understanding the interplay of cultural and familial dynamics. I also specialize in helping clients navigate grief and loss, and help clients become more comfortable with what shows up.
My Background and Approach
Holding space for others and deepening our understanding of the human experience is something I hold with the deepest respect and care. I want to hear your story. I utilize attachment and psychodynamic lens as a framework to explore difficulties related to intergenerational and family of origins dynamics to promote healing from childhood wounds to help you engage in more meaningful relationships. My therapeutic style emphasizes genuineness, warmth, and compassion. Deeply drawn to alternative modes of healing, I incorporate mindfulness and somatic approaches with my clients when appropriate.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
We are inherently social creatures. Healing does not occur in isolation, rather healing takes place in being with others. Therapy is a space that promotes healing. Together, we create a place for you to feel truly heard and understood. I do not have all the answers to your problems, nobody does. What I can offer is guidance in deepening your understanding of your life experience, assist you with developing awareness of unhelpful narratives, and offer you tools to engage more meaningfully in your relationships with yourself and others. I am passionate about supporting diverse and marginalized populations and de-stigmatizing therapy. In my spare time, I enjoy making pour-over coffee, listening to KCRW, camping, and dog watching.
