About My Clients
Life comes in frustrating waves that are difficult to overcome alone at times, leaving you feeling alone and vulnerable. You might be feeling anxious, depressed, lost, or confused on what to do next in this journey we call life. As a counselor, I want to assist you in creating goals and processing your emotions so that you can overcome the difficulties in your past, present, and future. I strive to create a warm, non-judgmental environment for you to feel comfortable.
My Background and Approach
My degree is a Professional Counselor with an undergrad working with children in a school setting. After graduation I worked as a barista putting my people skills to the test which helped me build good rapport within the community of Wichita. Shortly after becoming a clinician, I began work with the County as a QMHP (Qualified Mental Health Professional) where I was provided extensive crisis training with all ages, cultures, ethnicities, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. Moving forward in private practice is my goal and am excited to meet and work with individuals on a weekly/bi-weekly basis to educate, collaborate, and explore interventions that will work for you .
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe, That you are worthy of love and care That there is no shame in asking for help. That survivors are not what happened to them. That therapy works when both of us are committed to your healing. That therapy should address the person as a whole - their mind, body, and spirit. That sometimes small steps in the right direction end up being the biggest steps in the end. That even if we feel like we’ve lost hope, it’s possible to show up, commit to ourselves, and do what it takes to start feeling better.
