About My Clients
In addition to working with children and adolescents, I enjoy working with adults, couples, and co-parents. I especially enjoy working with adults that are looking to heal their past traumas to become a better partner, better parent, or better version of themselves
My Background and Approach
At my core, I believe that play is an essential part of a human interaction. This is because I wholeheartedly believe that play should not end at a certain age, or when a child is “too old”. From a young age, play is how we learn boundaries and social skills. Play can also be used to process trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, and much more. Play therapy can help build trust and attachment with your child, while the both of you learn more helpful behaviors and how to express your emotions. I encourage a child’s caregivers to take an active role in the therapeutic process. One of the reasons I became a therapist is because I believe we all have the cycle that we are stuck in. You do not have to do your life, just like your parents or grandparents raised you. Your children do not have to experience the same things you experienced. Every parent, every grandparent, every 20-something, every couple will eventually need therapy.
