About My Clients
Do you have first world problems? Are you wondering how you could be feeling so lousy when your life is relatively great (or could be so much worse?) Then, there's the guilt for feeling anything but grateful. I see this a lot. My patients often identify as the "good ones:" the reliable sibling, the high-achieving academic, the pretty friend, the employee who never complains. If this sounds familiar, let me help you challenge perfectionism and use your gifts to build a life that is yours.
My Background and Approach
My path started as a peer-counselor in my high school's health center. There, I helped people find their own solutions to problems they felt were too big to face alone. This gave me a sense of purpose and connection, which drove me to earn a doctorate in clinical psychology and dedicate my career to clinical practice. During my training, I developed a profound fascination with the brain—its intricate workings and profound impact on mental health. Simultaneously, I learned that the strength of therapy is largely based on the strength of the therapeutic relationship itself. In my practice, I integrate my understanding of how neurological processes influence our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors into my warm, relational approach.
