About My Clients
My clients are motivated to better understand themselves, their patterns, and their needs. They embrace a fluidity in therapy and appreciate moments of lightness and humor as we balance complex challenges. My clients are invested in aligning insight with action to authentically heal and live with greater fulfillment.
My Background and Approach
I offer an integrative and trauma-informed approach specializing in identity exploration, body image, religious trauma, OCD, and anxiety disorders. As a queer therapist, I am experienced in empowering LGBTQ+ clients and those deconstructing faith transitions. I have specialized training working with clients struggling with OCD as well as eating disorders and disordered eating. I individualize treatment as a humanistic therapist and draw upon various modalities including a Feminist Theory Framework, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure and Responsive Prevention (ERP). During our sessions, we will gently explore challenges and learned patterns that contribute to cycles of pain. I believe that though greater understanding, we can work towards shifting and releasing unhelpful patterns by allowing emotions to be processed in a healthy way.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I value realistic resources and offer emotional and somatic skills in mindful awareness, emotional regulation, self-compassion, and communication. I enjoy supporting clients as they learn to attune to their bodies, access nervous system regulation, and cultivate emotional well-being.
