About My Clients
I am so passionate about serving the creative thinkers and wild souls of this world. The adolescents and young adults that feel constrained by the expectations of our society. Moving through the formative years can be so difficult...especially if you don't conform. My clients are usually experiencing distress caused by past trauma and current anxiety. Let's create positive change together!
My Background and Approach
I became a social worker because I am an avid advocate for those underserved, underrepresented, and diminished in our world. My approach to therapy is a "modern therapy" philosophy. We focus on our relationship together so we can move through therapeutic change. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of North Dakota. I utilize EMDR and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy when appropriate for my clients. I ALWAYS utilize humor and creativity....therapy doesn't always have to be hard.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everyone has the inherent right to heal. I feel passionately about underserved populations. I am a strong advocate for community partnerships and building relationships with other service providers in my community. I believe that mental health doesn't always have to focus on those in crisis...but also on those that just want to be the best version of themselves.
