About My Clients
I work with children, adolescents, and families. I specialize in neuropsychological and psychodiagnostic testing, and my therapy experience includes neurodivergence and neurodevelopmental diagnoses, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and family conflict. I believe mental health deserves ongoing, preventative care as life changes. With an individualized approach, I hope therapy is a space to build self-understanding, self-compassion, and acceptance through life's challenges.
My Background and Approach
I was trained in psychodynamic and family systems approaches, and I also draw on CBT, ACT, and DBT, along with trauma-informed and culturally informed care. My work is relationally focused: I see the therapeutic relationship as central to change. I have worked extensively with individuals with a range of mental health diagnoses who often feel different or othered. I focus on supporting each person as they build confidence in who they are. Therapy isn't always easy, and not every session ends with feeling better, but the goal is to help you recognize your emotions and choose how you want to respond so each day feels a bit more manageable. I take a comprehensive, holistic approach and collaborate closely with parents, teachers, and care providers. With children and adolescents, I also support parents in understanding and connecting with their child so they can help them navigate big emotions.
