About My Clients
My ideal clients are couples ready to do the work necessary for achieving their goals — whether it’s the shift needed for partners facing gridlocked conflict, healing from betrayal, or building connection after a slow drift apart. I also work with premarital couples and blended families navigating new dynamics. I see clients online across Iowa, Illinois, and Tennessee. If that's you, I'd love to help.
My Background and Approach
I'm a Licensed Independent Social Worker with eight years in practice, trained directly by Dr. Stan Tatkin in the Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy (PACT) — one of a small number of PACT-trained clinicians licensed to see clients in Iowa, Illinois, and Tennessee. PACT is an embodied, science-based model: instead of just talking about problems, we track what's happening moment-to-moment in your bodies, faces, and voices during sessions, so new patterns get stored where they actually stick. Sessions can run longer than typical therapy, which lets us do in one sitting what can take months elsewhere. I see clients online throughout Iowa, Illinois, and Tennessee, online, offering the same depth of work as in-person therapy from wherever you're located in Iowa, Illinois, or Tennessee.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing happens in the body as much as the mind, which is why I train in embodied, attachment-based approaches rather than talk-only methods. Having been raised in an LGBTQ+ household, I bring a lived understanding of chosen family, non-traditional relationship structures, and the importance of affirming, judgment-free care — values that shape how I show up for every couple I work with. I also care deeply about expanding access to quality mental health care, which is part of why I offer online therapy — it removes the barrier of location for couples who might not otherwise have access to this kind of specialized care. Outside the therapy room, my family and I steward two critically endangered heritage livestock breeds on our farm.
