About My Clients
I provide psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults facing challenges such as trauma, mood and anxiety disorders, life transitions, and identity development. I often work with adolescents, emerging adults, BIPOC communities, and individuals navigating cultural identity, family dynamics, and generational expectations. Many of my clients seek relief from overwhelm, disconnection, or self-doubt, and I support them in building resilience.
My Background and Approach
I decided to become a therapist because I’ve always been drawn to understanding people and helping them navigate challenges in their lives. I’ve seen how mental health struggles can impact not only the individual but also their loved ones, and I wanted to be someone who offers guidance, support, and a safe space for growth. I’m especially motivated by the opportunity to help clients build resilience, understand themselves better, and find strategies that empower them to live more fulfilling lives. Being able to witness someone’s progress and knowing I played a part in that journey is incredibly rewarding. I earned my Master of Social Work from Loyola University Chicago. In my work, I integrate cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, ACT, narrative and humanistic approaches to help clients manage emotions, shift unhelpful patterns, develop insight, clarify values, and cultivate self-compassion.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My practice is deeply informed by my values of empathy, respect, and collaboration. I believe that everyone deserves a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore their thoughts and feelings. Personally, I’ve witnessed—and in some ways experienced—the impact of mental health challenges and the transformative power of support, understanding, and validation. These experiences reinforce my commitment to meeting clients where they are, honoring their unique journeys, and helping them develop the tools and insight they need to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and self-compassion.
