About My Clients

You may be looking to learn how to reconnect to your true self and become more resilient in the face of difficult lived experiences and may have developed patterns of low self-esteem, hurtful self-dialogue, addiction or other harmful behaviors. As humans, we naturally develop self- soothing methods to help us survive and meet our needs, however some of these strategies are unhelpful in the long term. I am here to help you process these experiences and find empowering methods to cope and thrive.

My Background and Approach

I have experience working with issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use, life transitions, and navigating relationships. I am also competent with issues such as eating disorders, sexual assault, self harm, gender identity, and abuse. I have worked in settings such as community mental health and intensive outpatient substance use treatment. In my work, I implement an eclectic approach of methods of cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, mindfulness, and acceptance & commitment therapies. I believe that being human comes first, and I try to be as authentically me as I can. I strive to build a trusting therapeutic relationship to lay the groundwork for learning and using concrete skills to begin making changes. I am passionate about the healing power of genuine connection and making meaning through telling our stories. My approach is always LGBTQIA and gender affirming, and honors all lifestyles, religions, cultures, ethnicities, and abilities.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that all humans have innate capabilities to grow and heal, we sometimes need support from someone who can truly listen and help us to best utilize those skills. Once someone can be heard, recognized, and understood in a safe and nonjudgemental environment that is when healing will begin. I believe that everyone deserves access to supportive care where their unique individual qualities are seen and honored.
