About My Clients
Seeking therapy is a brave thing and finding the right therapist can be a daunting task. I hope that you have connected with my profile and take the time to reach out soon. I view my time with clients as a gift, and I look forward to learning more about your life and your goals in the therapy space.
My Background and Approach
As a therapist, it is vital for me to see the world through your eyes and lived experiences. I offer integrative treatment modalities based on your personal preferences, often incorporating feminist and multicultural theoretical orientations. Safety is key when working with a new therapist, and it is my job to ensure every client feels supported in the therapy space. My specializations include perinatal mental health, trauma, grief, parenting, recovery, sexuality, and gender. I am a member of the Health at Every Size movement and am an open and affirming therapist. Being a trauma focused therapist, I often incorporate feminist and multicultural theoretical orientations, examining the intersecting identities of every client. I view the therapy space as a collaborative experience and enjoy utilizing creative concepts including EMDR, yoga, Brainspotting, mindfulness, and movement in addition to traditional talk therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the dignity and humanity of every person. I'm a yogi, a mom, a knitter, a traveler, and a proud crazy cat (and dog) lady. I am an active collaborator in the LGBTQ community and the BLM movement.
